I think the engineering issues on them have been resolved.I've used a number of different brands (lower price point) and haven't had issues with any of them.

If you have a perfect tenant that you really want to retain/reward, keep their rent 5% below market.

Based on a quick answer from Perplexity it seems like there would be no issue with you buying the home and collecting passive income, but you may not be allowed to manage it yourself since that is considered active work.
