I see agents and wholesalers trying to sell properties that are supposedly wholesale, but they sell at retail after it's marked up so much.

Real estate agents, property managers, and contractors who specialize in your target market can save you time and money in the long run.

Looking for in country contacts banks, agents, contractors, recommended areas, etc to prep for a productive visit.  

I would suggest giving it up and just hire an agent when you are ready to transact in the future.

For example, I met an agent who is managing an Airbnb with a similar situation.

I have a separate short term rental insurance policy (insurance agent recommended short term policy over long term since it's ultimately being used as a short term rental) Curious if that is the same as the Airbnb $1M liability insurance or if they have a separate one

They can also give you a better idea of how much you should be prepared to pay so you can cruise through your closing with confidence.And as you plan ahead for closing day, be sure to budget for your real estate agent’s professional service fee too, in case the seller doesn’t cover it.
