I guess it would depend on what you're ultimately trying to achieve - it may be a better choice to go directly for a brokerage license, or to not have any at all. 

It will cost you some money, but will save you a lot of headaches and liability going forward.

Hello everyone,Would someone give me an idea of how much money to save for taxes after I sell my rental home?

My personal opinion is that QB and the like are good for very big companies with a complicated portfolio and your accountant who can just import the data and saving him work.

I'm trying to save us the hassle of submitting docs and pulling credit, only to be declined.

I save up enough and recently graduated college a few months back.

Keep in mind, however, that when you pay your 401k payments are made with after-tax funds which means you will have to pay taxes on the interest payments when ultimately distributed form the 401k, usually at retirement.
