I am trying to start the network to get a team together with boots on the ground, but I know I will be taking some flights back and forth for a good amount of time in order to build that solid team!

Referrals I think is the best way to often handle transactions outside your area of expertise and you want a network to do that in.

Just for example, I've been running models that use that mode of financing, however (at least in Vegas), I have not found deals with enough meat on the bone to use HML to BRRRR the property. 

I am sure that the best way to find a deal is by networking and finding someone who needs to sell their property quickly.

Anyway, I'm very excited to meet and network with people on here as I've been recommended this site many many times.

If not, I would ask yourself what kind of investor you want to be, (active, passive etc) and where exactly in the Midwest you would want to invest and the people out there you want to start networking with / building a team.
