@John Morey - I use mysmartmove.comI like it because it is comprehensive, easy to read, and the tenants put their info and payment into the system.  

There is a couple great beginner's guides here on BP that will give you an overview of what real estate investing strategies are available to you and how they generally work.

Though I found it a great read and overview of start to finish STR buying and managing.
