As you talk to more people and educate yourself on the market you'll get a feel for how similar vendors compare and can make a decision on who to hire.

I think that this could be a great way to find people I could help get their homes sold by assigning them to a contractor/investor buyer.

FHA is usually what people do in this case since the minimum down payment is 3.5%, but you may also quaify for conventional with 5% down.

@Douglas Spence I have heard of people doing this and getting a premium  and being happy with it but have never done it myself.

I see people pay OVER retail at auctions all of the time- sight unseen and as-is.
