I use a rubber bands around my bills, then deposit them in my mattress for safe keeping.

Most people only move when they feel it’s safe, and that only happens after they see the early movers starting to cash out.

Some homeowners found that they weren't able to get permits as it was deemed no longer safe to built where their home was previous to the disasters.  

Or if anyone knows of any other neighborhoods within Lansing that would be considered safe (I understand "safe is relative, but I'm thinking gang/gun violence) within the 40-60k home price range pleaseeee feel free to reply.  

I think this will make the tenants there feel more safe too.

Also the economy of that location or state could be harmed and you would be harmed (even if you did really well in a downward spiraling market the market forces may overwhelm you advantages).Diversification is definitely a wise move to be safe. 

I rather be safe than sorry so going to hinge on that rule.
