Hello everyone.  I'm currently looking into acquiring a property in Lansing, MI within the Old Oakland neighborhood.  I previously resided in Lansing but that was some years ago.  I'm familiar with the neighborhood from when I lived in Lansing but a lot can change over a decade.  Is anyone familiar with the Old Oakland area in regards to crime/safety?  From what I can gather it would be considered a C level neighborhood?  Any help or additional information from someone familiar with or currently working in Lansing is more than appreciated.  Or if anyone knows of any other neighborhoods within Lansing that would be considered safe (I understand "safe is relative, but I'm thinking gang/gun violence) within the 40-60k home price range pleaseeee feel free to reply.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read or reply to this!
