Oftentimes, it's the agent more than the bank.With REOs, just make your offer(s) and move on...try to forget about the offer and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised if it gets accepted... :)

These houses are all over the map dollar-wise, another one that I will hopefully be listing in a few more days will probably be listing for under $90k, I'm currently waiting to close the sale on another in the low $100's, we sold one a few months ago for $340k and the next house up to work on will probably list right around $400k.

Things happen during their lifetime, a mortgage, a 2nd, a tax lien, they have kds, bails problem child out of jail (bailbond), someone gets sick, delinquent mortgage then default, someone dies, the surviving spouse dies, kid(s) want their inheritnce(house), bills left behind need to be paid, etc.This is how people live and how real estate is part of their lives.
