So the ideas about future education or switches would be personal decisions I suspect...On the investing side, real estate has been a worthwhile (and even profitable) part of my life (but it is no magic formula for happiness or anything).So you could see if a property (maybe think about a duplex, triplex or fourplex) would pencil out and you could even make a unit your home a short time and later rent that unit out, too, and buy another property (or just live On the Road!)......

Just stick around the forum; go through the podcasts, ask questions..Education/knowledge should come first before prospecting for deals

There is a lot of education going on, except for people like Bob who just want to act like a know it all and blast people. 

Having finally taken the plunge, I have signed up on this forum to educate myself on REI.

I've grown up having dozens of great conversations with my dad about what NOT to do in real estate, and now I'm ready to pursue an education in what I SHOULD be doing.

You don't NEED a real estate license to invest, but you do Need a good education, however, having a license IS a better way to operate in real estate and I highly suggest getting one especially in the beginning. :)

Im a newbie in the education phase, looking to LLC this thang right out the gate, so whats the sexiest REI business name you've ever seen or thought about but it was too crass to actually name your business after...and shoot! 

Looking to REI to escape employment, fund my four kids' education and support philanthropic endeavors.
