My chat messages to them are still unread (1.5 weeks after posting).I am about halfway finished with onboarding at HostAway and have had several hiccups, but I think it will work out in the end; their customer support seems to be on top of it.

If the current owner walks away with the security deposits and the tenants cause damage before they move out you will find yourself in a hole.Lastly if you do make an offer and look to close, I would speak to the tenants and let them know management for the property will be changing, ___ is the day rent is due, ____ is the day a late fee will be applied, and if they are negligent you WILL file for an eviction.

If you were in your late 20s/ early 30s, it might be different (but that is just my opinion, and everyone's situation is different).For the second question, I think you should consider multi family (duplex, triplex, quad) so that you can house hack.

I just finished John Schaub's book "Building wealth one house at a time" and am now reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" again since the last time I read it was 2 years ago.
