@Richard Harrington Personally I would rent it.My husband is active duty military and we have done very well buying houses at his duty stations and renting them out when we leave.

We supported the local station and they gave us personal service.  

I am stationed/live in SD and currently exploring all my options for getting into a local multi family property.

A local Seattle TV station last night ran a great overview report on the real estate market in Snohomish County, WA, Seattle's neighbor to the north, and my home territory.

You have the money to buy some farm land out in that direction and ten years from now the highway goes through and you make a housing development or own the four corners where the gas station and pharmacy or shopping center will be built.

How many years do you have left in the military and at your current duty station?

I'm currently, not able to comply due to being stationed in Georgia at the moment.Navy Federal-Reaching someone in the business department to actually answer the question is a challenge in itself.Any advice, resources, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
