German Fernandez House hacking a detached garage potential

Option 1- Being a house hacker at heart, the sfh has a unique big detached garage with about 550-650 sqft of space on the second floor that has central a/c and heat, a deck, and electrical box (only thing I would need would be to extend the plumbing from house to garage, about 20 ft maybe (digging trenches in dirt) still needing a bath and kitchenette.

And don't get the idea that income producing property owners are hard hearted or tight fisted.There are many people in here who make it their business to house people who live in low circumstances (under the section-8 voucher program), but it's unlikely they will just let them live in a unit for free.If they did that they would be out of business in short time.Good Luck!
