@Kyle Fairbanks,,, I have read lots of great insights and advice, this is also my input as a sixty-one year young that have acquired most of my little bit of wealth through RE investments in life, and my small business paid my dues,,,,,you are only 22 so if you start conservative and gradually build you RE wealth then there is plenty of time for you to get to DA goal.

BUT... that is where back-links still are needed.The more web-presence, the more google will think you are legitimate, the better chances you have to rank high.This is why Google content is king... when you already are ranking #1.

To seek more information on STR licensing and guidelines, contact your local planning commission OR you can save yourself some time and effort by going to your local government's web portal.   

I'm in the process of having my own public web domain built -- www.setterrealty.com for pretty much the very things you are doing.  

They receive a link that they can click on and it loads a web-page that is automatically updated with information you specify.

I was looking at the Los Angeles county accessor web site of some land that recently sold for $5,000 to $7,000.. how do i find land to buy so I can build house on it.. is there a MLS for buying land from the city? 

(If you google realtors or call one from signage/etc you're more likely to get one who is in higher production and already has listings and money for web advertising and they may be too busy to go door knocking, that's why going to the local office will be best if you want someone else to do that part.)     

I've found Edina Realty's web site pretty decent as well.

Those areas range in class from D-A.
