As far as writing off your expenses, you would want to set up an LLC and run everything through that in order to show the IRS that this was a business expense that is eligible.

if I house hack and live in these multi unit complexes, I would think I would want an LLC.In case something happens and they sue the landlord, wouldn't it be better if its an LLC?
