Can I Mortgage a LLC Owned Property?

Hi all,

I am a new investor with a newly formed LLC in Texas looking to purchase my first investment property. I want to purchase a SFR in cash under my LLC name and take out a mortgage after the property is rented out.

Can someone help give some guidance on whether this is a good way to go about it or will I run into any difficulties getting a mortgage for the LLC owned property? Will I have any trouble getting the house insured at comparable rates to a house that would have other wise been under my personal name?

If the mortgage route does not work out, how about a HELOC on the LLC owned property?

Thanks so much in advance for your feedback!
