Along these lines I thought of posting a sign and on Craigslist, offering to move an unwanted mobile home and then owner financing it to get more out of the property on top of the lot rent.

The strategy has been very good to me, and I'm a fan.Separate your construction costs into soft, horizontal and vertical components - soft for city fees, professional services , and holding/financing costs ... horizontal for any site prep, public improvements, and underground work ... vertical for foundation and everything on top of it.

In most cases the bank will want 20% down so your mortgage will be around $280k and over 20 years thats around $1800 a month off the top of my head. plus account for a 6% vacancy rate and $2400 a year in repairs and calculate how much the HOA fees are and insurance and the real estate taxes.
