So my options are:1) Buy a multifamily house in Columbia, MO and househack2) Rent a house in Columbia, MO and househack3) House hack in another coastal city with short term rents like Airbnb4) Attempt to buy a house in another coastal city and househack to pay for my mortgage.I think #2 is the best option at this point in time so that I can save to buy a house in another city in about a year.

They required some paperwork, income verification, insurance etc. but overall it was a pleasant experience with no hiccups and no closing costs.

I am unsure about PA, but some states have laws that protect the tenants from this kind of eviction if they are able to show that they have a hardship or will be unlikely to find a new place in time.
