She says she used to have a better credit score and she's going through a divorce now which negatively affected her credit score.I was just wondering if it's true, can divorce have a negative effect on the credit score?

I like to buy cheap ,flip/upgrade slowly while living and staying as a primary residence for 2 yrs, then rent and move to next, repeat.
