Hello, My father is looking to re-write his will to accommodate me and my 5 siblings recent wishes.

My friend and his siblings been watching the vacant property since, but they aren't sure who legally owns the home since it was under their fathers name.

I was wondering kind of the best way to do that or just maybe hear some experiences from people who have done deals with friends or siblings and how they went?

(There was a period a few years back where it seemed like solar was the latest MLM craze, and everyone and their siblings were trying to push solar and sign people up for it, to the point where I would hear someone say solar in conversation and just want to run the other way before they could start their pitch 🤣)If I recall correctly, they also wanted you to have a fairly new roof, so that ruled out some of my properties as well.I think my main concern was that even though I've held some of my properties for a decent stretch of time (over a decade), to me if I was going to put solar on a property, I'd really be committing to holding it long into the future because I couldn't count on a new buying wanting or being willing to have the solar.

With so many siblings involved, I don’t think it would be the best choice for this situation.

My siblings and I are starting a rental business called the Three Hearts Property, or THP.

More common is when some siblings inherit a home and Sibling A decides to rent the property out without permission from the others and then the property manager gets caught in a legal battle.It should be comforting to know your property manager is cross-checking your authority; it shows they know what they are doing.

Talk to the siblings, if it isn't them you're probably going on a wild goose chase. 

@Jason Gurvitz If they are older, I usually start by looking at obituaries for either the owner or their spouse/partner/sibling/child, etc.
