I also see houses that have been foreclosed that were flipped within a few years prior, and the buyers painted the walls pink or otherwise trashed the place.

The property is absolutely gorgeous, but needs some TLC.

I get excited every day when I pull up the new listings for a local county, and see those gorgeous little starter homes built after 2000 priced great, in great shape, only to see that they all zone to the Crowley school district.

Luckily we had help from both our fathers- hers a retired carpenter, and my father had worked in construction as a teenager extensively and knew what to do.Here is the original Bathroom- By now we had already removed the plaster from the closet (which was attached to the beam on the left) along with the pink sqaure tiles that were along the base 1/3 of the room.Once we started tearing up everything, here is a progression...Above is my Girlfriend's Dad cutting the joists from the old closet.Once we identified that the studs/joists in the floor were rotten, we scabbed on to the ones that were bad with new 2 x 10 boards and supported them with a crossbeam underneath.

That ceiling is gorgeous.

They can see past the shag carpet and pink paint.

There's a gorgeous old brick home in a very prominent corner of the neighborhood and after living here for several years I am confident it would be easy to rent out.
