Is there any legal way to compensate someone without their real estate license for sending you a real estate deal (wholesale, flip, etc.)?

Sometimes it's hard to find good plumbers, and if you've already talked with the owner and they didn't compensate you or lower the cost, to me, that seems unreasonable.

If the water bill is $100 a month, increase the price by 20% (or whatever you decide is fair) to compensate you for the time required to split and bill and to cover additional use when tenants squander the utility.

This is very true, and even more true in today's market where financing costs are higher but prices haven't adjusted fully to compensate this. 

It seemed like the service with Midwest was a similar concept, but what I didn't see upfront was how they are compensated.

Actually it's good drawback which means they are serious lender/brokers.But at the same time, they should also give compensation at the end, for example giving credit or such or faster closing.

If they go to Airbnb looking for a refund we use the timestamped photos to refute them and deny compensation, but we do try to go above and beyond with the guest while there to garner a good review. 

Compensation would be based on the successful closing of flip properties. what would be fair compensation in this case?
