Second, I received a request from State Farm today: Please provide the gross sales/receipts amount for the insured location(s) as reflected on their most recently completed tax filing or anticipated gross sales for the upcoming fiscal year.This strikes me as a little weird and perhaps I shouldn't jump to the conclusion that this info will be used against us (and result in a higher premium).

IE: not repairing a bad step on the deck etc. it is more important to have great insurance that covers you completely.

Final comment: meaning this well, but please don't call it underwriting, it makes me cringe every time a newbie uses the term to make it sound like they are buying institutional-grade investments on a weekly basis.

If you can rent it out as a STR for 10k/month then it sounds like you can make more money doing that compared to a long term rental.
