If this were swapping out fixtures and updating finishes I can see the temptation to just make the repairs as a property owner but what you describe is a much more complicated project and if done incorrectly without permits you could be opening yourself up to future problems.

Bill -You're absolutely correct, and I should have added more detail around what I was saying; as I said it above, it was misleading/incorrect (I can admit when I'm wrong :)...According to the Georgia Residential Mortgage Act (Article 13), attorneys are exempted from having to be licensed under the condition that they are not compensated by the lender or a mortgage broker for their services.

It must be due to the deficiency judgment, or realtytrac could have the incorrect info.I went to the courthouse yesterday and searched the county records on the proper address of the property, as well as every possible misspelling of the owners' names.

Well sorry but that is 100% incorrect, you can't get hurt jumping out of a basement window :)I picked up 7, all about 80k each, all with values of about 115- 125k, all with 1100- 1400 in rent, MUCH safer than paying a mill for a house that two years ago was 600k,,,,,,,,,,,AGAIN, I am not just writing nonsense.
