I've heard about auctions conducted by the US Marshalls and other government departments where property including houses and exotic cars are seized by drug cartels and others and sold to the highest bidder.

i was also told that you purchase them different if its at the courhouse or at an auction

I've heard of that before with other types of auctions so wondering if it happens at RE auctions as well.

A couple of the auctions for homes near me go cancelled, and I understand that this can be for a multitude of reasons, but I'm wondering how I can find out why the auction was cancelled?

Here in CO the second lienholder could redeem by paying off the amount the first mortgage holder paid at auction.

I'm not sure, they gave the impression that he stripped before the auction.

Am I wrong in thinking that the worst that can come of this is that once they auction the property I owe the diffrence which I DO plan on being responsible for and paying and I read somewhere that they have to set up ap payment plan with me for what that amount.

I am not a big fan of auctions especially on ebay, although I recently purchased a couple of smaller tax liens on line.

I guess it was a foreclosure (ughh.. wish i knew about the auction).

It was bought by the bank at auction on april 6.
