It depends on a variety of factors.

Its just that need of human interaction to really get going .Unless you have sit through these fantastic sales seminars and got the inspiration well its hard to imagine... much like church.. we all have a bible or some sort of faith based book.. but we still go to a service to listen to a priest , preacher , Imam , Guru ( of the Indian variety)  what have you.. because its that person to person interaction  that motivates and inspires. 

The other unit with the same floor plan has sat for over a month now, but I have watched a variety of units in the same community, at a variety of prices, mostly go very quickly.

As you can see I have a variety of experiences in the residential market.

The idea of bandit signs that @Jose Flores suggested can work too although I've done bandit signs to market for sellers (usually in weekend campaigns for a variety reasons) and only get a handful of calls.Lastly, since you're likely already driving around a bit in your day job, driving for dollars in the neighborhoods you patrol might not be a bad idea.
