I don't like the second picture you've posted because the sink is visible from the living room without any barrier, the first option is better from an visual perspective but you have to be really careful with your clearances.

Being overseas, it will be hard to identify good deals so a local specialist is just crucial in my belief.The question of buying near the top of the market (so we think) is to be answered from an investment strategy perspective, budget, risk and appreciation vs yield perspective.

Not really, but even if it was it's good information to gain perspective into why people prefer one over the other, if there was no relevance to the issue than I'd say there is no relevance to purchase 5/1 units which we all know would be a huge problem.I like to understand the pros and cons of the advantages and disadvantages of properties to make choices in what I purchase.
