Are there any problems that could arise that my lawyer won't see doing a title search? 

The primary Team includes Attornies/Lawyers, real estate Brokers/Agents, CPA's (or accountants you trust), Inspectors, Property Managers, General Contractors, and Handymen.  

Any things I need to make sure are covered or can I just go to my RE lawyer and he'll have a pretty boilerplate contract for this situation.

@Robert Courtney In my state, if you go to court and bring the contract proving that you are under contract on the home, the judge can either move out the auction date or maybe not confirm the auction sale; I am not sure which because we haven't done it, but a friend of mine who's company bought like a thousand homes in the area over the past few years has a lawyer that does that for him.

I believe fair housing does not apply in this situation.But I could be wrong consult a lawyer.

Hi @Patrick O'Neill: I haven't looked in the Mortgage Licensing Act ("MLA") in a while and it's a complicated enough law that you and your friend should talk to a lawyer about it.

Or is  consulting a tax lawyer / realty lawyer still necessary?

I understand that any loss of rent can be charged to the tenant, but I couldn't find sufficient info on the other costs.Also, If I were to contact a lawyer to get legal advice on this; what kind of lawyer would it be - real estate? 

We have a meeting with a CPA and lawyer next week.
