Networks could be: local builders exchange, local and regional homebuilders association, search on websites for NAHB, NMHC, ULI, attend real estate meet-ups, attend real estate conferences.

Rejecting based upon 8 month order is not defensible criteria unless they refuse to sign a 12 month lease.

Even in less decent neighborhoods in NY, you're still under on income, just at a slower trickle (seriously, we have no qualms living most places in NY).In this situation you have two choices: Just deal with it and hope the rising tide of the market lifts you up, or play defense.

Now, a surprising one for many is the Defense Contractors, big time employers 100k plus and high paying jobs once again.

(Here's a secret, if insurance writes a check for the total limit of liability, they no longer are required to pay for legal defense).

Seek out and  confer with experienced investors at your local REIA's for further advice.

There used to be a lot of in-person meetings/conferences to meet with local investors, etc. in New Orleans a few years ago - anything similar here?
