I did the quick numbers:$700 - principal, interest, taxes + $487 maint. fee + $60 insurance + $100 (approx) electricity = $1347/mo cost * 12 = $16164 yearly cost.Our corporation will foot the bill to close the mortgage: CMHC mortgage insurance: $3492 (I offered to pay in full) + $5,000 closing cost = $8492 + $4000 repairs & paint = $12492 total cost to purchase.

A tenant I have now is driving me crazy with her expectations.She bought new blinds for the house, although there were already blinds there and said I have to give her the money for them.She said if I expect them to cut the grass (which is now a foot high), I need to buy a lawn mower for them.She said I had to replace all power outlets in the house because they are old.The demands simply never end.
