Hi all, I currently rent, but am considering buying a 2 bedroom condo/townhouse.The main issue: I only plan to live in this property for 1-5 years (unknown, depends on career moves), so long term I'd like to be able to rent it out with at least break-even cashflow.I think the main problem is though that in any desirable living area, it's pretty tough to do this.

That's right Heshel, especially if you're dealing with large units, say 1,000 square feet and it has only 2 bedrooms.

It’s a 3 story, 3 family, 3k sqft, 1908 Victorian, 2 bedrooms each, 7 miles from NYC, and rental comps reflect about $2300 a piece if rehabbed (top unit/floor was updated about 8 years ago).
