The relative wants nothing to do with it but...there it is.The FIRST thing a person thinks about may be going online but they're going to be looking for an attorney, not a person advertising that they buy houses.Most people are absolutely in the dark about how to deal with probate and how to legally dispose of the real estate they've inherited.

So, for all the time spent finding the property and getting through the deal (also advertising, etc), the agent actually gets paid a much smaller amount than most people think.As far as what you mentioned as a "down payment assistance program," what was explained above is different.
