I need to know the process of legally separating 2 structures which are on the same parcel with the city.Strangely I have 2 properties which this applies to right now.One in Miami which I want to sell and I’ve been told it was not properly separated with the city when I bought it.

I haven’t seen any SFRs rent for $2000-2200 in that area, even ones with four bedrooms and/or a large square ft footprint, but with two units you might net that total amount even if you cover utilities if that can’t be separated.

@Robert Chuang These 3 doors are all investments I have a separate primary residence so I am not sure how I can make my next investment a primary residence unless there is some loophole I am not aware of.
