He has rented it through a PM before and hasn't had a pleasant experience with tenant turnover and minor damages that erased the little profit he made.Then he got to telling me he is thinking of trying to short sell it so I got curious if there might be a deal to be had.From what I can tell he paid 87k for it....He said he still owes around 72k and that houses near by have been selling in the 50s....although when I did a quick zillow search on my phone I saw similar houses listed in the 70s so I was a little confused why he thought he could short sell it.

I hear stories quite frequently with younger people how their agent told them they wouldn't write up a lower offer when asked, even if nearby sales were lower, or told them, It's only "x more a month" for paying $1000s more (really dislike that one), and they end up paying top dollar because they didn't know better.

@Chris Angels Check what the local/nearby laundromats are charging and then lower yours by 25 -50 cents.View this more as marketing and a benefit to the tenants residing in your unit.You'll do far better off financially with better quality tenants and scheduled rent increases then by a few extra dollars from the coin op.
