Boeing, Damlier/Chrysler, Volvo all have built manufacturing plants here and following on their heels we have Costco building a second store, Lowes and HD both building more stores, Lowes Foods and Aldi's entering the market even as Harris Teeter and Publix continue to expand, Whole Foods/Amazon, etc, etc...

The daily fines can get pretty ugly. 

Having said people take risks everyday driving a vehicle, etc. where any number of daily things can go wrong.You try to reduce your risk as much as possible but anything can happen.

My agent is easy to work with and I have a nice portal that gets me most of the info I want and daily emails of new or changed listings meeting my criteria and I can always go to the portal to see if anything has updated in the afternoon instead of waiting for the morning emails. 

Lesson here: Don't buy Chinese drywall or bad take out food.
