I think there is a very good chance you're right, which is why I brought up all the potential changes to the housing market costs (it will affect Target, Costco and Walmart consumer goods too, and probably everything else as well).I don't think anyone can accurately predict how it would play out, and I think it would be nuts for the first 6-12 months as people start experiencing this massive rush of free money, and companies start receiving it too from new purchases and calculating how to best get as much of that money from consumers as possible.The important thing to consider is that once a policy like this is enacted, or free health care, or just like social security, it can't be undone, no matter the costs.

I generally agree with @Russell Brazil and @Chris Seveney about written agreements, but there certainly are a growing number of cases (thanks to text messaging, etc.) where the signed writing requirement has been satisfied by conduct other than a signature on the _______________ line at the end of the agreement.Whether there was a binding contract formed in this instance would require an in depth review of the "contract" and all of the relevant communications surrounding it.
