Unable to find section 8 tenants?

Michael Bridgett
Posted

Anybody noticing a lack of section 8 applicants? We've had two properties listed with our counties housing program for months now, however they advised that they have no voucher holders looking for placement. Weird, because I know the waiting list to obtain a voucher is years.

Just wondering if anybody else experienced this?

Thanks guys. The properties are located in Maryland. Just got off the phone with a manager. Supposedly, its due to them being 4 bedroom units. She explained that they rarely issue 4 bedroom vouchers. I agreed to come down to the same price as 3 bedrooms.

Still, it didnt sound too promising. She advised that she will keep my number and call if anything pops up.

Dunno man, your property manager sounds pretty fishy. In my experience 4 bed vouchers are in ultra high demand as Section 8 tenants have a tendency to be baby factories.
