I Just ended up trying to offset the extra closing cost with a slightly lower offer.

I'm a newbie from Chicago looking to start out in real estate investing.I'm a lawyer by trade, but I think it would be wise to branch out into real estate investing to diversify my retirement portfolio and to have a bit of extra income each month.

My parents were flippers so I have some basic experience, but I was wondering if anyone is looking for some extra help on the weekends at any flips in the NYC area.

I would go with tall 36" upper cabinets to give the extra storage space if you have the height. 

I want to ensure I am doing this transaction the correct way but I also don't want to spend extra money if it isn't necessary.

This takes some extra effort and sleuthing & doesn't always get results, but if I can clear an eviction from the record before another application is approved, I do.

That's a waste of an extra $800/year + tax prep & accounting costs.

I'm sure the Ontario power folks would love an extra 2700 x pretty well every house that is currently heated with a gas furnace.

We knew we weren't building a ton of equity when we did the renovations (we spent extra on some niceties because we will live in it for a few years until we want to rent it).

That being said, if you have the extra money to raise a house, now may be the time to strike in Staten Island!
