Hey folks, I'm new to the BP forums, but have read some BP books (Set for Life, The Book on Rental Property Investing twice).Need some help analyzing whether I should rent out or sell my home (3br/2ba in Zachary, La).

I’ve been listening to biggerpockets podcast, reading book, blogs and I would really like to get started... don’t really have a lot of money. 

You should check out “set for life” by @scott trench.Really good book for anyone starting!

BP podcasts, speaking at established companies, writing a book, SEC investigation, FBI review etc do not make people honest.

It's just easier to book that the entity purchased $X of paint as one expense.If you appreciate the details and like a high degree of organization, it's not at all difficult to keep impeccable records.

Do you think learning by doing or books and podcast here to learn real estate investing?

I consume loads of information now: podcasts, books, blogs.

@Oles Street A good way would be to learn about what you want to do first by reading books and listening to podcasts, and networking with experienced investors. 

Once you are established and can start using your equity it can snowball but, it takes time and lots of building.Read everything you can on BP and look for some good Real Estate books.
