I know door knocking or heavy outbound cold calling is likely an aggressive approach that and while not so creative, you can always find what you are looking for with hustle and corrective strategy. 

Things like buying lists, cold calling systems, bandit signs, direct mail, PPC, etc are a necessary expenditure with wholesaling.  

I did not know about hot makets or cold markets just needed a place to live.
