Running out the cash flow #s then, assuming the 50% role (which seems reasonable given an older home), I'd break-even or lose a couple hundred backs a month.I love the thought of having paid off real estate generating cash flow down the road.

A $1,000,000 loan is not something one just gets easily, and if you don't qualify now you'll likely need to generate a lot of income in the next 5 years to do so, it is possible if you have to sell and the property appreciated for you to reap all the rewards that you could create resentment between yourself and I'm going to assume siblings.
