Your team will respect you for not wasting their time on projects you have no business getting them involved in.

Depending on where you're at with finances, time, etc. you could offer to help local investors with a decent portfolio, and ones that you respect and think you could learn a lot from.

I do believe I am correct in saying their method is not the most efficient way but I was respectful in talking to them and told them I would look for a second opinion as well.
