An early 2000s house is about 260k now in Leander area while you can get a brand new house in East parmer/ dasseau (Pflugerville) for 290kWhich one would appreciate more?

The fact that a contractor told you there is a ghost is hearsay and I wouldn't change a major investment decision you are in the middle of executing because of it.

On the other side however, I’ve been rather conservative in my rents estimate and $1250-1300 is achievable especially for the end units which are a tad bigger and afford only sharing of one wall (I would live in a middle unit).

I see these blackout dates as a sort of middle ground.
