After you have paid for the foundation to be repaired by a contractor, will you need a Structural Engineer to sign off on these repairs, or do Cities need to inspect this in-house?  

@Jorge Pena, thanks for sharing your experience, I would love to share experiences, although, I don't have as much in the landlord world yet, I am a structural engineer and project manager for a large CM firm in Manhattan currently.
