Together with my father (both part time in REI), we managed to acquire (for renting) a few apartments, a couple of studios and to buy an empty land on which we built a house, all in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.I already read some articles on BiggerPockets and I was truly impressed by the quality of the content, the success stories and the learning material.

By choosing mid-sized units (they are each one bedroom and a loft) we are able to attract long term renters as opposed to ski season leases (who normally want a studio to themselves or a 3 or 4 bedroom so they can cram a bunch of roommates in there).

If it's 7 studios in an old house where the owner pays all heat and you go by on a day where it's 40 degs outside and all the upstairs windows are open then it's probably not much of a deal.
