@Lamont Marable check your local building and fire codes...putting living space below grade carries a lot of life-safety requirements and needs to be permitted...worst case...if there is a fire and tenants cannot escape...and you knowingly put living space below grade without the required safeguards in place...RE investing career over...Just do it right if you venture down that path...hiring an architect is always the best approach to something like thisBest of luck

I think your best bet is motion sensitive cameras and lights - and if you have a house across the street put them there too so you can get two angles.

I just have trouble believing that the entire mortgage industry has not safeguarded itself from a hyperinflational scenario in some way… Let me throw some possibilities here for discussion:- Is there something buried deep down in the fixed loan terms that would allow the bank to change either the principal or interest payments of a fixed rate mortgage under certain circumstances, even if you pay it on time and never violate the terms on your end?

I think I was a bit sensitive because I know I am trying to do the right thing and didn't love the idea of blinds for this unit long term though this thread has convinced me that others will probably want them, so I might as well put them up now.By the way, I'm also a twin cities man.
