Seller's agent showed my bank statement to the seller

I submitted a bank statement as POF for a cash purchase to the seller's agent. She in turn sent it to the sellers and had them initial the pages. This seems like a leak of sensitive information, and it makes me angry since all she has to do is to communicate to the seller that I have enough funds to purchase the property in cash. The bank statement shows my address as well as bank account number and all the transactions for the past month. As far as I know, she has been in the realtor business for 16 years and sells a lot of owner-occupied homes not investment homes. I have a few questions:

1. Is this normal practice to show POF document to the seller? My agent says no.

2. Is there any action that I should take now?

3. Is there anything else that I can send in lieu of bank statement for POF?

Replied

1) yes...it is for the Seller’s confirmation, not their agent

2) no

3) typically, you simply black out your account number and anything else you don’t want to reveal..
