@Jonathan ReedAnytime you can shake hands and talk to like minded people its worth it.Since it is a little lead time for the next meeting, locate the clubs webpage call the president and several vendors ask them their opinion of the club how long have they been members etc.

I would recommend going to a smaller local bank and talking with the president or senior vice president about what you are wanting to do.
