Other problem however when 11 people set up service with a variety of dish or fiber optic companies then you will have service guys on the rooftops, wiring in funky places, and new problems - won't the roof line be unsightly with 11 dishes maybe more???

Try not to underestimate the time you have driving around, or doing the dishes or putting away laundry. 

I also realized that the person who owned the house did not want to be a landlord and did a poor job taking care of the place, which was a perfect opportunity for me.Once the property was mine, I moved my office desk, blowup mattress, and few dishes into the vacant unit.

No Dish or cable service.

You will need to plan on replacing towels, bed sheets, lots of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, salt pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, light bulbs, dish soap, dishwasher soap, trash bags, hand cleaner, shampoo, soap, etc. 

Cutting into your profits.If it were mine, I'd think about just pressure washing it and adding some curb appeal items, such as lawn, shrubs, trim paint, front door color, possibly a new roof, and moving those satellite dishes to the back yard vs the front roof.Here's a quick mock-up I did with some of my thoughts. 

What was interesting though, a dishwasher was in the kitchen, yet all the dishes were in a sink drainer.

I even had pest control problems, roaches all over the building where 2 roommates couldn't even agree on whose turn it is to clean up the dishes, where the two guys decided to fight it out, leave food and dirty dishes all over for months because it was the other guy's turn.When I had triplexes 20 years ago, one tenant is responsible for hallway and lobby cleaning and garbage collection, and gets $50 to $75 off the rent, and I always have takers. 

A Chef does not strive to make an ok dish, a horse jockey does not go out on race day shooting for a solid 4th place, a running back does not go out on game day striving to get a 1st down.
