Cutting costs: Cable vs Streaming

Posted

I could get rid of 2 cable bills for one streaming service!

Just curious at this point what you offer your guests? Cable TV, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc...

I'm thinking about getting rid of cable and getting the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN subscription. I can get it for 4 screens and use it in 2 different units.

Have you heard of Locast? $5 / month for all local channels? Anyone habe luck with that?

Thanks!

I provide cable or Satellite because I want to make sure my guests have the local channels available.  Think sports and what not on the local channels - access to local news and weather etc.  I also think it is important because we still have a subset of the population that is comfortable with cable tv but not in operating smart tv streaming services.

Then I have Smart TVs everywhere loaded with all of the popular apps.  I do not provide a login for those services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc.. the guest use their own.
